From New Haven and Points South

  1. I-91 North to Route 9 North.
  2. EXIT 26 (Downtown New Britain).
  3. Go straight through traffic light at the end of the exit. Continue straight to next traffic light.
  4. Turn LEFT onto Chestnut Street. Continue straight.
  5. Turn LEFT at traffic light onto Elm Street(Elm becomes Franklin Square.)
  6. Courthouse is the third building on LEFT.

From Windsor and Points North

  1. Take I-91 South to I-84 West
  2. Take EXIT 39 A (Route 9).
  3. Continue on Route 9 to EXIT 27 (Chestnut Street) It is a LEFT EXIT.
  4. At the end of exit, turn RIGHT. Continue straight to Second Light.
  5. Turn LEFT at traffic light onto Elm Street (Elm becomes Franklin Square.)
  6. Courthouse is the third building on the LEFT.

From Danbury and Points West

  1. Take I-84 East to Exit 35 (Route 72)
  2. Take EXIT 9 (Main Street).
  3. Turn RIGHT at the end of exit onto Harry S. Truman overpass, (Overpass becomes Franklin Square at second traffic light)
  4. Courthouse is the third building on LEFT.

From Plymouth and Bristol

  1. Take Route 72 East to New Britain, EXIT 9 (Main Street).
  2. Turn RIGHT at the end of exit onto Harry S. Truman overpass, (Overpass becomes Elm Street briefly, and then Franklin Square at second traffic light)
  3. Bear LEFT at the "Y" onto Franklin Square
  4. Courthouse is the third building on LEFT on Franklin Square.

From Hartford and Points East

  1. Take I-84 West to EXIT 39 A (Route 9 South).
  2. Continue on Route 9 to Exit 27 (Chestnut Street) It is a LEFT EXIT.
  3. End of exit, turn RIGHT onto Chestnut Street.
  4. Go straight to second light. Turn LEFT at traffic light (between Liberty Square Building & New Britain Post Office) onto Elm Street. (Elm becomes Franklin Square.)
  5. Courthouse is the third building on LEFT.

Parking

Parking is available in the public parking garage attached to the courthouse with access on Badalato Drive. Handicapped parking is available on the ground level of the public parking garage.

Be careful! On street parking regulations are strictly enforced on streets immediately adjacent to the courthouse. No courthouse parking is allowed in the nearby businesses and cars will be towed.
